My Inspiration

This is my favourite new store; and they're located right on Main Street, in the heart of Leduc! 

What caught my attention about Jar'd is their refill station. You can bring in (or purchase), a clean, reusable container of your choice to refill your shampoo, conditioner, hand soap, cleaners, and even food! Food with no packaging! It's amazing😍

What keeps bringing me back? All of the locally, or Canadian-made products, that focus on natural ingredients, and little to no packaging, to reduce plastic waste. This is where I picked up my Tru Earth Laundry Strips, and made a zero-waste focused gift box for a friend. The box included compostable dish cloths, a plant-based reusable travel mug, shampoo and conditioner bars, beeswax food wraps, and a locally roasted coffee. Jar'd has a little bit of everything, and I highly recommend checking them out. 

I absolutely adore this store, and everything it stands for. The owner, Katherine, is a doll, and truly passionate about what she does. Every time I've gone in, she and the staff were incredibly helpful. When I went in to make up the gift box, they took the time to speak with me, and helped me pick the right products. It's not just shopping, it's an experience. Katherine's passion is infectious, and I am SO happy to welcome Jar'd to Leduc💞

www.reclaiminghome.ca is a wonderful site you can use for inspiration! Katie has the incredible gift of transforming spaces into homes, and can do so on a limited budget. She will repurpose your own items, or find treasures through thrifting. The transformations are amazing, and leave a minimal footprint. Katie's work has inspired me to take a good look at the spaces in my own house, and turn them into rooms I want to spend time in.
